LeKendre Je’Kyie Taylor was born November 28, 2000, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to LaKendra J. Taylor and Carlos D. Moore. He passed away April 25, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. The grandparents (William SR & Jammie Middlebrooks) met nearly 30 years ago as neighbors. They have been and continue to be very dear to me and my daughter, Lauren Williams who resides in Memphis TN... We pray 🙏 that God will continue to strengthen the entire family during your season of bereavement. Be reminded that he is a very present help. Elder Henrietta Erskine 💛💜 & Lauren Richards-Williams 💗💚

Dre was an awesome guy. He lived in Belk and I was fortunate to interact with him often. Dre had a kindness and goodness that filled the room. His light was tangible. For a guy who was strong enough to rough people up on the football field, he was warm and gentle in spirit and he made life better for those who knew him. I'm thankful to have known him.

Dre was an important member of the McCallie Track & Field Team and one of our best Throwers. But he truly shined as an excellent counselor at McCallie's summer boarding camp - McCallie Sports Camp. Dre lived in the dorm for 6 weeks with a team of young campers and his gentle patience, love, coaching ability and leadership was a tremendous testimony. His campers loved him and a number of them have requested to be on his team this summer. To loose him is heartbreaking.

i didn’t know dre for very long, but he was one of the first people i met when i went to work at blue coast on memorial. i was only there to help, since i work at the smyrna store. he was always so uplifting and made the shifts we worked so much fun. i remember the time we had a conversation all night about who the greatest nfl quarterback was. Rest in Peace, Dre💯
