Obituary for Walter Jackson, Jr.

Mr. Walter Lebron Jackson, Jr., was born to Carol Sturdivant Jackson and Walter L. (PeeWee) Jackson, Sr., on January 16, 1961 in Charleston, West Virginia. Mr. Jackson was raised in Chattanooga. He was educated in the public school system and graduated in the Howard High School, class of 1979. Mr. Jackson entered into celestial peace on April 14, 2021.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Walter L. (PeeWee) and Carlene Jackson; grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Sturdivant, Altheria Jackson and Ernest Smith, and Rosie Jackson.

Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Yvonne Jackson of Miami, Florida; two loving daughters, Tasha Smith of Miami, Florida and Jasmine (Marcus) Allen of Atlanta, Georgia; his loving and devoted mother, Pastor, Carol Sturdivant Jackson; sister, Carolyn (Michael) Jones; brother, Cordell (Johntae) Jackson; four grandchildren, Tayonna, Tyquese, and Daquan of Miami, Florida, and Riley of Atlanta, Georgia; four aunts, Lilly and Kay Sturdivant, Charlene Smith, and Dellajoe Kellogg; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted longtime friend, Matthew Dixon.

Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
