Tameka Cherelle Dortch of Chattanooga, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Tameka was a very loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. Tameka had so much love for other people and her family. She enjoyed going to cookouts, birthday parties, and other family functions. She just enjoyed life itself. Tameka was formerly employed with Pilgrim Pride Corporation until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mary Collins and Helen Dortch; grandfather, Preston Dortch; uncles, Terry and Tony Dortch, and Ervin Tucker; aunts, Catherine Tucker and Marilyn Dortch.

Tameka’s memories will be cherished by her mother, Sherry Dortch, Lenoir City, TN; father, Johnny Tucker of Roanoke, AL; daughter, Jermeria Dortch, Chattanooga; son, Jakhory Dortch, Chattanooga; sisters, TeKya (Larry) Speights, Chattanooga, Aaliyah Dortch, Lenoir City, TN, Natasha Brown, Hartsfield, CT, Danicia Tucker, Shequalla (Dejuan) Dorris, Jennifer Daylag, Chastity Douglas, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Johnny Dortch, Christopher Tucker, and Timothy Douglas, all of Chattanooga; nine nieces, eleven nephews, two great-nieces, six great-nephews; several aunts, uncles, and other relatives, and friends; significant other, Steven King; special aunt, Ingrid Tucker; special cousin, Cheralda Dortch Moody; special friends, Kenneth (Bubba) Bush, and Fletrina Williams.

Tameka will be truly missed by her entire family.

Public viewing will be held from 9:00 am-11:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 2022, followed immediately by the funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home.

Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens.
