Sweetie Lee Simmons, 93, departed her earthly life on September 13, 2020. She was born on December 30, 1926 in Palmetto, GA. She was of Baptist Faith.
Sweetie was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Simmons; parents, Dana Astin and Bessie (Chester) McGlockin; sisters, Vera A. Hudson and Carlotta Lewis; nephew, Leroy Austin, niece, Paulette White.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Dear and devoted Friend, Frank Davis; nieces, Gwendolyn Toland, Patricia Moore, Tonetta Jones, Denise Appleberry, Bonice Braden, Sherry Ball, Cynthia Carter, Kimberly Harrison, and Tonia Hudson; nephews, Larry, Carstone, William, Vincent, George, Rodney, Tony Hudson, Kevin and Cary Lewis; a host of relatives and dear friends.
Aunt Sweetie was a supervisor at the former Patten Tower Hotel and Chattanooga Choo Choo, she also worked at First Centenary Childcare in her retirement years. Aunt Sweetie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked music and loved to dance. She was a classy lady and loved to shop and dress.
Public viewing will be held from 2 – 6 pm Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held privately. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens
