Obituary for Sharon Wigfall

Sharon Renee Wigfall, of Chattanooga, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 24th, 2020 at Hospice of Chattanooga. She was a devoted member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, a 1973 graduate of Howard High School, and a 40-year (retired) employee of The Chattanooga Choo-Choo.

She was preceded into rest by her husband, Walter Louis Wigfall, Jr.; her Mother/Grandmother, Ardalia Washington; her Father/Grandfather, Clifton Washington, Sr.; her brother Clifton Washington, Jr.; her sister, Sheila Ellis; and three brothers-in-law, Bernard, Ernest and Michael Wigfall.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Celia Stovall, Cleveland OH; her children, Stephanie Wigfall, Michael Wigfall, Sr.; Shawana Wigfall; her step children, Ronald Wigfall, Tanika Wigfall and Edwin Wigfall, Chattanooga; brothers, Bobby Earl (Karen) Stovall , Cleveland, OH, James Washington, Chattanooga; sisters, Curlean (Charles) Turner, Harbor City, CA; Nancy Roseberry, Jacksonville, FL, Delois(Johnny) Pruitt , Jackson, MS, Glenda Washington and Janice Washington, Chattanooga; a devoted mother-in-law, Armpernella Wigfall; sister-in-law, Twana Shepard; brothers-in-law, Lenard Wigfall and Larry Wigfall, Chattanooga, Greg Ellis, Cleveland, OH; her grandchildren, Jermichael Wigfall, Shamia Wigfall, Michael S. Wigfall, Jr, Ronald Wigfall Jr., Raphelle James Jr., Kamia Wigfall, Sicararra Wigfall, Zyhon Wigfall, Tisha Bentley; devoted granddaughter and caretaker, Kelesha Turner; devoted aunt-in-law, Mary Jackson; a host of great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A public viewing will be held 2:00PM-6:00PM Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the funeral home. A private service will be held. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
