Sharon Denise Barber was born February 15, 1958, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. On June 1, 2021, she entered the presence of her Savior and Lord, whom she loves with all her heart. Having put her trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ, she became a faithful member of Thankful Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the usher board. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1976. She loved helping people and celebrating lives but her highest desire was that all praise, honor, thanks and glory, be to her precious Lord Jesus.

Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her mother, Zelma A. Summers; stepdad, Clifford Summers, Jr.; grandparents, Johnny Leo and Martha Hayes; aunts, Rosa and Helen Hayes; uncle, John Ernest Hayes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Raymond Barber; daughter, Sondra Patrice Barber; two grandchildren, Jensen Kai and Kylie Marie; goddaughter, Tyreka Carter; four sisters, Gwendolyn (Elzie) Bynum, Rosland (Eric) Galloway, Robinette Ison, and Yolanda Walker; two brothers, Michael (Connie) Hayes and Rodney (Kathy) Summers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends,

Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Monday, June 7, 2021, in the funeral home chapel. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
