Obituary for Shannon Labrone Barnes
Shannon Labrone Barnes was born on April 9,1958 in Chattanooga, TN. He departed this life March 14, 2022 after a battle with health issues and illness. Shannon was a lovable and outgoing, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Shannon is a 1976 graduate of Kirkman High School. He was voted “most wittiest” among his classmates. He also played basketball and was a member of the Kirkman High School Band.
He was preceded in death by his mother Emma Bell Patterson; father Vestree Barnes; siblings, Charles Smith, and Deborah Barnes.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughters Tiffany Barnes, Brittany Barnes Carter, Ciera Barnes Wilkes and Jazmine Hollie Bliss Fields, son, LaBrannon Barnes; grandchildren, Kendall Barnes, Kennedi Truiett, Kensley Barnes, Desiree Carter, Daisha Carter, Deana Carter, Damya Carter, Ja’Brielle Barnes, LaBrannon Barnes Jr. Raleigh Wilkes and Camryn Wilkes. Great granddaughter’s Paislee Price, McKynlee Barnes; siblings, Ronald DeWayne Barnes, Vestree Barnes, Jr.; dearest to his heart, Sandra Kirby and Gerald “T-Bone” Jones, his best friend for over fifty years, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Mount Paran Baptist Church, 1319 Moss Street. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
