Obituary for Saundra Louise Gibson
Saundra Louise Gibson was born on December 10, 1948, in Chattanooga TN, to parents Sam Jones and Elizabeth Gardner. She departed this earthly life in Chattanooga on Friday, December 30, 2022. Saundra was an active member of Saint Matthew Primitive Baptist Church. There she loved to fellowship with the members. She was educated in the Chattanooga public school system until 11th grade. Saundra was employed by Pilgrim Pride until she retired in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Gibson; parents, Sam Jones and Elizabeth Gardner; son, Anthony Jones; brothers, Adell Baker and Reneau Jones; grandmother, Virginia Williams.
Saundra leaves to cherish her precious loving memories, six sisters, Rosilyn Jones of Illinois, Virginia Jo Yancy and Yvonne Baker, both of Ohio, Vanessa Jones of Maryland, Myra Jones and Jacqueline Jones, both of Washington DC; six brothers, V. Dewayne Jones and Quentin Jones, both of DC, Darrell Jones and TeDarius Finley, both of Tennessee; David Wade of Texas and Armando Alexander of Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends; best friends; Cora W. and Bessie Broadnax.
Public viewing will be held 9:00 am - 11:00 am Friday, January 13, 2023, followed by a 11:00 am chapel service at the funeral home. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
