Obituary for Sandra Freeman

Miss. Sandra J. Freeman was a gift from God given to the world on March 26, 1951. Sandra went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 25, 2021. She attended Riverside High School then obtained a nursing degree from Erlanger School of Nursing. She enjoyed being a nurse, caring for patients, working in hospitals and Hospice Care. Sandra’s life passion was helping the homeless/needy, reaching out to people on the street, and saving souls making sure people’s lives were right with God, so they were assured a spot in Heaven. Sandra had a street church ministry that spanned over two decades, where she along with her sister and brother in Christ, Lizzie and Terry King, served food to hundreds of people in need weekly, while ministering to people about God.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Fannie Freeman; brothers Gregory and Errol Freeman; sister, Carol Freeman; sister-in-law, Mary Freeman; nephew, Anthony Shepherd.

Those left to cherish Sandra’s precious memories, include her children, Tracy Freeman, Charles (Candi) Robinson, Curtis Freeman, and her amazing daughter LaFonya Freeman; grandchildren, Tracy Freeman, Jr., TraShun Freeman, Christian Robinson, Madison Robinson, and MiKayla Shipman; brothers, Charles Freeman, Jr., Elroy (Debbie) Freeman, and Anthony Freeman; sister, Berlinda Freeman; nieces, Retonga (Marquise) Freeman, LaKisha Walker (Jyra, Britnee, Miracle), and Erlissa Howard, (Michael, Noah, Christian); nephews, Robert (Christian) Walker, Jr., and Adrien Freeman.

Spiritual daughters, Erica Duncan, Dana (Hunter) Higgins, Katrina Shipman, Patrice Cox (Brittany and Brannon), and Phyllis Brown; a host of other family, spiritual friends and loved ones.

Sandra would tell people cherishing her memories that the best way you can honor and cherish her is by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. A special thanks to Dr. Terry Melvin.

A private funeral service will be held.
