Obituary for Rudolph Christopher

Rudolph “Rudy” Christopher, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, in Chattanooga. He was born on January 23, 1941, in Dewberry, GA, to Nathaniel Christopher and Mary Rollins. Rudy attended Hill High School in Lafayette, GA. He was a Boilermaker for Tennessee American Water Company, retiring in 2003 after many years of service. He loved baseball and taking walks. Rudy was a member of New Covenant Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Lebron Christopher.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, wife, Vernita Myricks; stepchildren, Ikeshia R. Adams, Ineshia R. Adams, Jovannie (Kenisha) Myricks, Cordaro D. Myricks, Renee Madden, Michael Hill, Charles Madden, Ronald Madden, and Patricia Madden; 15 step-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, James Myricks, Joe Myricks, and Kelvin (Dawanna) Myricks; favorite cousin, Edward Ransom, other cousins, nephews, and friends. Special friends, Sonny (Vera) Covington, Reese Turner, Joe (Barbara) Vesselles, Kenneth Gaskell, Danny Crumsey, Eugene Cover, Gilmore Williams, Jimmy Womble, Theo (April) Elaster, Larry Phillips, and Kelvin (Natasha) Turnbow.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Chapel of the John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave 423-622-9995.
