Obituary

Ruby Lee Stoudemire Isaac, 94, was born September 14, 1926, in Autaugaville, Alabama, to the union of loving parents, Fletcher Stoudemire and Diana Rutledge. She was the youngest of their 9 children. Ruby grew up in a warm, loving, gregarious and nurturing family. Ruby received her early education in Autaugaville, Alabama and migrated with her parents to Chattanooga, Tennessee where she blossomed into adulthood. In the 1950s, she traveled to New Jersey where she married her loving husband, Charles Isaac, in 1952.

Ruby held a host of positions, however, her true passion of entrepreneurship led her to open her own business. For decades, she successfully managed her business until retirement when she decided to move back to Chattanooga.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and 7 siblings; Fletcher Jr., McKinley, Ernest, Samuel, Verla, Benjamin, and Katie. She is survived by her only sister, Bertha.

Ruby joined her ancestors on May 26, 2021 and left a large family to forever cherish her memory. She leaves to mourn a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Public viewing will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday June 5, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at New Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 1616 Washington Street, Chattanooga Tennessee. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
