Obituary for Richard Lewis Brown
Richard Lewis Brown was born on November 13, 1957, in Chattanooga, to Joe N. Brown, Sr., and Luedora Brown. He departed this life on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Viviant Health Care Center in Chattanooga.
Richard was a member of Wesley Chapel Christian Community Church under the leadership of the late pastor H. H. Wright. Richard’s pastime was cutting lawns to perfection. His favorite drink was a good cold beer, and his favorite food was coleslaw with everything.
He served in the United States Army and worked many public jobs. He never met any strangers. Richard loved everybody.
Richard was preceded in death by his father; Joe N. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, mother, Luedora Brown; son, Corey Tarvin; grandchildren; sister, Liz (Ralph) Boston; brothers, Joe (Barbara) N. Brown, Jr., and James Myricks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special niece, Carleetha Jones; and Michael.
Public viewing will be held from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, followed by a 12:00 funeral service in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens EAST.
