Obituary for Pamela Smith Robbins

Pamela Faye Smith Robbins, 68, departed this life on Monday, December 12, 2022 in a local hospital surrounded by loved ones. She entered this life February 3, 1954, the fourth of six children born through the union of Thelma and Leonard Smith, Sr.

Pamela was a proud 1972 graduate of Howard High School where she graduated with honors. She attended the National Education Center in Houston, TX where she completed a certification in Phlebotomy. Throughout her lifetime, she worked as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, Florist, Entrepreneur, Customer Service Associate and Receptionist. When she retired, Pamela spent time with her grandchildren, jewelry making, cooking, decorating, watching movies and listening to music that she truly loved so much especially rhythm and blues and jazz. Always with a smiling face, Pam never met a stranger, was always the life of the party and enjoyed fellowshipping with lifelong friends and family. Pamela was loved by all who knew her. Pamela was a member of the Church of the First Born.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Edward Sr. and Thelma (Lewis) Smith and eldest siblings, sister, Cynthia Smith and; brother, Leonard Edward Smith Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband Norman Robbins; Daughters, Shuntel Rogers; and Erika (Demond) Walker of Snellville, GA; Siblings, Josclyn Shabazz; Ronald Sr (Priscilla) Smith; Cathy (Clarence) Keyes; Grandchildren, William (Chiara) Rogers III of El Paso, TX, Zachary (Ambra) Rogers of Jacksonville, FL, Bianca Walker, Collin Williams and Cydni Walker all of Atlanta, GA; Sister in Law, Carline Smith; Aunts, Barbara Higgins; Lillian Lewis, Wenda Faye Williams, Mary Alice Collier all of Atlanta, GA and Diane Lewis of Chicago, IL; Uncle, Maurice Smith of Los Angeles, CA; Great Grandchildren, Brycen, General, Elijah, Ezekiel, Angel, and Zachary Jr; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Church of the First Born, 3418 St. Elmo Avenue.
