Obituary for Mirrie Burns

Mirrie Burns passed away July 13, 2022, in a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1955, to the late Annie Jo Putman and Velpo Burns, in Dadeville, AL. He attended Howard High School in Chattanooga and later worked for Signal Plating. He then spent a short time in the Marines from August 1973 to September 1975.

Mirrie enjoyed life. He loved fishing and hanging out with his family. He was very laid back. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Orlander (Deirdra Lykes) Burns; sister, Bessie Lee Burns Bolden of Chattanooga. Those left to cherish his precious memory are his sons, Everett Jerome. Akidge, Antonio (Amanda) Burns, Jermaine Burns; daughters, Satedra Burns, Tannesha Garth; grandchildren, Keyoshia Sutton, Tylisha Henderson Starling, Tymesha. Frierson, Tymaya Kirk, Terriona Bell, I´Breasia Burns, Antonio Burns, I´Keyija Burns, Ashante Burns, Sky Burns, August Burns, King Burns, Jermaine Burns; great grandchildren, Iyuanna Henderson, Indiaa Henderson, Isaac Starling, Infinity Starling, Ja’myah Fowler. Jacques Kirk. Keyshawn Sutton, Khaylon Sutton; Nieces, nephews and family; one brother, Calvin Davis of Chattanooga; other siblings of Dadeville, AL; best friend, Hollis.

Mirrie now joins the love of his life, Madeline Carolyn Clay.

A 2:00 pm memorial celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
