Obituary for Michael D Gooden
Michael Gooden was born on August 8, 1953, in Chattanooga, TN to the late George R. Gooden, Sr. and A. Elizabeth Greene.
He was the owner of Micco Insurance Agency for 16 years. He was a trained interior designer, clothes designer, model, and artist. He was a sketch artist as well as a painting artist.
Michael was an avid and loyal sports fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Hawks. He was an online sports broadcaster who did interviews with several local professional celebrity athletes.
During the 1970s Michael worked with his Uncle Sam Gooden, helping to manage the musical group “The Impressions” for a short time.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, George R. Gooden, Sr.; mother, A. Elizabeth Greene; daughter Kimberly R. Harris; brother, George R. Gooden, Jr.;
Those to cherish his precious memories include his devoted wife, Linda Gooden of Covington, GA; three sons, Michael Gooden of Las Vegas, NV, Jamil Gooden, and Terrance Harris both of Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren; mother-in-law, Rosie Pearl Clemons, of Chattanooga TN; a beloved step-sister, Virginia Greene; aunts, Catherine Nash and Gloria Gooden; countless family members and friends.
Public viewing will be held 11:00am- 1:00pm Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service in the chapel. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
