Obituary for Mary Eberhart Morgan

Mary Ethel Morgan, 66, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at her home. She was born in Lawrence County, AL, on April 7, 1954, to Mrs. Sallie Mae Eberhardt and the late Ernest Lee Watkins, Sr. She attended Howard High and was employed by Van Heusen until her health failed. Mary enjoyed singing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of New Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lebron Morgan, Sr; son, Alexander Welch; grandparents, Percy and Sarah Goodloe, Jim Sr., and Ethel Watkins; six brothers, Willie Shackleford, Willus Eberhardt, Jr., Connius Lee Fletcher, Andre’
Shackleford, Wayne Hill, and Tony Eberhardt; one sister, Sarah Malone; three grandchildren, Mary Tyler, Pierre Hereford, and Caivon Welch.

She leaves to cherish her two sons, Clifford (Nina) Welch III, and Lebron (Tessie) Morgan, Jr.; two daughters, Kristie Tyler and Octavia Morgan; 30 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters, Susan Murray, Wochimia Walton, Nazarene (Robert) Crawford, Minister Pearley (Willie) Renfroe, Minister Judy (Larry) Boyd, Minister Chelcie Clopton, Minister Theresa Cunningham, and Minister Cynthia Johnson; brothers, Fred Lindsey, Frank (Evelyn) Vinson, Jerome Miller, Ernest Lee Watkins, Jr., Jimmy Lee Watkins, Stephen Eberhardt, and Walter Eberhardt; three aunts, Gloria (Minister Billy) Young, Sandra (Kent) Wright, and Mary Watkins; one uncle, Wilbert (Edwina) Watkins; mother-in-law, Catherine Louise
Morgan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers in-law, and friends.

The funeral service will be broadcast live beginning at 1:00 pm EST, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at www.johnpfranklinfuneralhomefacebook.com.

Public viewing will be held 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
