Martin Lavone Eady, 80, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020, in his home. He lived his early years in Chattanooga, TN. He served for eight years as a Reservist in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, but most of all, he loved cooking, carpentry, and the times he spent with his family. He will be fondly remembered for his jokes, laughter, and smile. He was always the life of the party.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Eady and Mary Cargle; granddaughter, Tondellina Burrell; aunts, Thelma Eady and Wilma L. Eady-Bush; and uncle, Robert L. Eady.
Survivors include his three children, Angela G. Burrell and Delta L. Eady of Atlanta, GA, and Cynthia D. Eady of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Kenneth Eady of California; five grandchildren, Cashara White of Powder Spring, GA, Darrell Burks of Huntsville, AL, Marcell Hawthorne, Jr., of Atlanta, GA, and Nakeda Eady and Jasmine (Jermaine) Brooks-McWhorter.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, Dec. 21, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family and friends will leave the funeral after the viewing in a procession to the cemetery.
