Linda Faye Hamilton was born on August 14, 1970, in West Point, Mississippi. She was the third of six children born to Christine Coleman. She moved to Chattanooga in 2001 during the summertime.

Linda worked as a dietary aid for Memorial Hospital for 12 years. Her favorite activities included shopping and going to the beach with family.

After a lengthy illness, Linda passed Sunday, May 16, 2021, surrounded by her family at home.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Wanda Hamilton and Andre Coleman; grandmother, Earnestine Hamilton, and nephew, Rheadie Harris, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Augustus Giger, Jr., Dontaye Reed, Stephone Reed and Shontanae Hamilton (Deion Pitts, Sr.); grandchildren, Nathan, Aniya and Mariah Reed and Deion Pitts, Jr.; mother, Christine Coleman; siblings, Brenda (Robert) Stamper, LaTanya (Sharese) Harden, Sr., and Vernard Hamilton; aunts and uncles, Roosevelt, Willie James, J.W., James, Helen and Bernice Hamilton; nieces and nephews, LaQuisha Harris, Marshonda Tobar, Terrance Washington, Reginald (LaTisha) Watkins, Terrell Hamilton, Shamar and Sharese Harden, Jr.; other relatives and friends, Shawn Preston, Kendra Goosby, Michelle McKinney-Pride and Shelley King.

Public viewing will be held 9 am - 11:30 am Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the funeral home, followed by a 12 noon funeral service.
