Obituary for Lela Mae Tucker
Lela Mae Tucker, 81, born in McDonough Georgia on September 3, 1941, passed away October 13, 2022 in Chattanooga. Lela was born to the proud parents of Rossevelt Amie and Virginia Bell Amie. Lela was married to Eddie Tucker for 37 years. Lela attended Bethel AME and was a member of Sharon Pentecostal Deliverance COG for many years prior to joining her husband at Bethel. She retired from Provident after 20 + years of service.
Lela loved the Lord, attending church and she loved to sing in the choir. She loved cooking, planting, taking care of flowers, puzzle books and reading.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rossevelt Amie and mother, Virginia Amie, of McDonough GA; sisters, JoAnn Amie, of Jonesboro, GA and Gladys Clark, of Chattanooga; brothers, Wilson Amie and Rossevelt Amie, Jr. of Jonesboro, GA; and daughter, Sharon Tarvin.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Lee Tucker; sons, Jeffery Robinson, of Denver CO, Danny (Pam) Robinson, of Stone Mountain GA, and Kevin (Robbin) Robinson, of Statesboro GA; brothers, Early (Diane) Amie , Gerald (Susan) Amie, both of Atlanta GA, and Tommy (Dorothy) Amie, of McDonough GA; sister, Ruth (James) Henderson, of Chattanooga and Linda Amie, of Riverdale GA; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, followed by a 1:00 pm chapel service. Interment: Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
