Obituary for Lebron Echols
LeBron Calvin “Captain Kool” Echols, the son of the late Frankie Bradley and George Palmer. He was born November 8, 1957 in Chattanooga Tennessee. He was the first child of seven children to Frankie Bradley. LeBron departed this life on September 20, 2020 at the age of 62. He was a member of Greater Park City Church where he accepted Christ at an early age and taught Sunday school in his youth.
LeBron was outgoing and had a great sense of humor. When we hear the word “Bat” a smile would always appear on the family face because that was his trademark. He attended Rossville High School where he played basketball and lead them to a win in the Championship. He later graduated from Riverside High School in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Bradley
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: son, Kenneth (April) Echols of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; grandchildren, Kenya Echols, Angela Jones, Andrea Echols and Samuel Hale; three brothers, James (Sabrena) Bradley Jr. of Chattanooga Tennessee, Daryl Bradley of Picayune Mississippi, Marcus (Ebony) Anderson of Acworth Georgia; three sisters, Dewanda Bradley, Vanessa Laster and Jacqueline Phinazee all of Chattanooga Tennessee; Aunt, Mary Ruth McMickens of Marietta Georgia; devoted nieces, CaSonta & LaTissha Bradley and SaReta Tumlin; a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins; God sister, Cynthia Smith; devoted friends, Hillard (Margaret) White, Joyce Elder and the entire East Chattanooga Community.
The day you exchanged time for eternity, September 20th is also our mother’s birthday which we will always remember. We can only imagine the rejoicing as you entered the gates of Heaven and you yelling out your trademark “Bat” saying Happy Birthday, I am home!
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm Saturday, October 3, 2020. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery.
