Obituary for Larry Montgomery
Larry James Montgomery, 66, of Soddy Daisy and Hixson TN, passed away September 15, 2020 in Chattanooga. He was formerly employed with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as a facilities maintenance supervisor and retired after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Cordeila Montgomery, and his sister, Betty Hitt.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Alisha Montgomery; grandson, Myles Griffin; sister, Eulassie (Morris) Beaty; brothers, Johnny (Carolyn) White and Willie (Myrtle) Montgomery, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Per his wishes, his body will be donated for scientific purposes to the Department of Anthropology at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. No public services are planned. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
