Obituary for Kishona Lynice Frost

On Saturday January 14, 2023, our beloved princess, Kishona Lynice Frost ,40 years of age, departed her life here on earth to be with the Lord. Kishona was born on December 18, 1982, to Robert Frost and Madeline Frost Swanson. Kishona accepted Christ at an early age, at Second Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend Paul A. McDaniel, which is now under the Leadership of Dr. Ernest L. Reid.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Page Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Frost; aunt, Jacqueline A. Page, and her four children, Kedrick, Harmony, Alexander and Xavier.

Kishona was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she attended 21st Century Academy (EFG) and was a member of the graduating class of 2001. She also attended Chattanooga College where she studied to be a Medical Technician. Kishona was an entrepreneur and event planner who was loved by her customers, friends and family. She was the life of the party and lived her life to the fullest.

To know her was to love her! At age 15, Kishona was placed on dialysis due to kidney disease. However, the disease was no match for her, instead it pushed her to enjoy life that much more! She was loved by many and had a heart of gold. Kishona was strong, beautiful, intelligent, outspoken and full of life! Her contagious smile would light up every space that she inhabited. The bond that she shared with her brother Kedric was unmatched! Kishona loved spending quality time with a multitude of friends and cherished those friendships. She enjoyed traveling the world, baking, painting, and just celebrating all that life had to offer.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her mother, Madeline Frost Swanson; father, Robert Louis Frost Jr.; brother, Kedrick Wooten (Dorene); godchildren, Cordell Blessingreen (Tootman), Tashayla and Nyasis Fitten, Chanta Perry; aunt, Barbara Page-Owens (Perry); uncle, Robert Lee Page Jr. all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; aunts, Dr. Mary Ann Jackson (Kirk) of Odenton, MD, Janice Omolaja (Francis) of Upper Marlboro, MD; aunt, Shirley Green; uncle, Richard Frost (Hineatha) all of Rossville, GA; aunt, Bazalene Wright, Nashville, TN; uncle, Ronnie Frost of Chattanooga, TN; aunt, Charlotte Robinson (Joe) Charlotte, NC; close cousins, Nanette Garrison (Michael Jr.) and Shiloh all of Atlanta GA, Vernon Wright (Renesha), Atlanta GA; a host of extended family and friends.

Kishona cherished the time she spent with her companion, Adrian Anderson, her best friend for life, Antonio DeVaughn, close cousins, LaToya Chatman (LaQuanna), Longview, Texas, Westly Jones (Justine), Norfolk VA, and a circle of close girlfriends who were always there for her… PERIOD!

A 12:00 PM memorial service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 2305 East Third Street.
