Obituary for Keontae Deshawn Carter
Keontae Carter, 21, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, in Chattanooga. He was born March 10, 2001, to Lamont Carter and Teresa Bibbs. Keontae graduated from Hixson High School, class of 2019.
Keontae enjoyed making beats and music. He loved Jehovah and his family. He loved doing for others; he never complained. Keontae had a gracious spirit and was always happy. He never met a stranger and had the best way of cheering you up without knowing that he was doing so.
Keontae was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Bibbs; aunts, Tiny Tabetando and Patricia Bibbs; great-aunts, Joyce Williams, Yolanda Woods, Geraldine Caslin, and Stanford Smith.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, father, Lamont Carter; five sisters, Bre'Shalia Jackson, Jamysha Carter, Brilee Carter, Camellia Carter, and Aston Carter; one brother, Elijah Carter; loving grandmother; Mary Bibbs; two uncles, Willie George and Dennis Bibbs; a devoted great-aunt, Alice Saddler; devoted great-uncle, Lawrence Smith; a host of relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held 9:00 am - 1:30 pm Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the funeral home, followed by a 1:30 pm funeral service. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens.
