Obituary for Kenneth Wayne Hewlett
Kenneth Wayne Hewlett was born October 15, 1965, to the late Pastor Richard Hewlett and Georgia Mae Keith Hewlett in Huntsville, Alabama.
As most little boys are, he was quite rambunctious. He lived life large and loved hard. His family and friends truly meant everything to him. His love was unconditional. Kenneth grew to be a gifted poet and artist. His poems and the accompanying illustrations were true reflections of his heart, his faith in Christ Jesus, and his life (all depicted down through the years archived in the writings of “My Wage of War”.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, after 56 years of “warring” , he gained the full manifestation of the ultimate victory secured for him in The Finished Work of Christ – The Greater Glory” as he transitioned to his heavenly home, to study “war” no more.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pastor Richard Hewlett; his sister, Melissa-Hewlett Clayborn; his brother, Reverend Richard L. Hewlett.
He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life, his loving mother, Mrs. Georgia Mae Keith Hewlett (Huntsville); devoted and faithful sisters, Christine Hewlett Davis (Huntsville), Tomica D. Hewlett (Dallas), and Cicily R. Hewlett (Chattanooga); devoted and faithful bothers, William C. Graham (Atlanta), Maurice Whitlock (Albany), and Stephen Hewlett (Chattanooga); sisters-In-love, Shanell L. Hewlett (Richard L. Hewlett), and Yolonda Brooks-Hewlett, (Stephen Hewlett); loving surrogate mothers, Doris Hewlett (Chattanooga), and Corine Powell (Atlanta); close and devoted friend, Faye Jones; and of course “his” precious, Misti Jones; aunts: Corine Hewlett (Huntsville) and Virginia Jones (Athens); uncles, Elder Milton Hewlett (Huntsville), Ronnie Horton (Huntsville), James David Keith (Ohio), and Earnest D. Smith (Ohio); a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
A 1:30 PM graveside service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Forest Hills Cemetery
