Juanita Jackson Haywood was born October 25, 1930, in Athens, Georgia.

She transitioned home on January 19, 2023. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hixson.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Savannah Watkins; brothers, Robert L. Watkins Sr., and Curtis W. Watkins; husband, John Haywood.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Flint, Russell Jackson, Elder Charles (Vicki) Jackson, Victor (Denise) Jackson, and Barbara (David) McElvain, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, Minister Bruce Suttles, Artnita Paris, Valerie Baker, Marcel Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Jeremy Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Charles P. Jackson, Victor Jackson II, Dr. Jermaine Jackson, April Brown, and Usani McElvain; 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives.

Juanita will lie in state from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 27th at Resurrected Baptist Church, located at 2230 East 18th Street.
