Obituary for Joyce Elizabeth Finney
Joyce Finney was born on August 3, 1949, to Charlie Will Finney-Anderson and Charles Edward Finney. She was a 1968 graduate of Howard High School.
On May 2, 2022, Joyce Finney rejoined her Heavenly Father and gained her wings. She will be remembered as a fun, compassionate, feisty, yet loving spirit with a heart of gold.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlie Will Finney-Anderson; father, Charles Edward Finney; daughter, Jacqueline Finney; sisters, Lottie Mae Finney, Margie Sims, Doris Burch, and Luradell Robinson; brother, Charles Finney Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Rodney (LaRhonda) Boston and Ralph Boston, both of Chattanooga; nieces, Linda Burch and Sarita Burch, both of Chattanooga, Johnetta (Carl) Hanns of Clarksville, TN, Norma Newson, Debra Newson, Trisha McCutchen, and Wanda Faye Edwards of Florida; nephews, Gregory Robinson, Michael (Michelle) Robinson, John (Tammy) Burch Jr., Kevin Jr. and Jerel Hamlett of Florida, Travis (Sharon) Robinson of Virginia, Gregory Hobdley, Jr., Dee Burch, Byron King, and Kevin Woods; dear friend, Robert Smith; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 9:00 am-12:30 pm, on Thursday, May 12, 2022, followed immediately by a funeral service at 12:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery
