On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, Joyce Ann Gilbert Robinson peacefully departed this life to embrace her heavenly home. She was a 1975 graduate of Howard High School. She later obtained an Early Childhood Education degree from Chattanooga State Community College. Joyce enjoyed her work at Memorial Hospital in the CDU up until her retirement in 2020. She was an active member at New Hope Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Women’s Ministry, District Ushers, and Minister Wives Ministry.

She was born August 13, 1957 to the late Albert Jr. and Maeola Gilbert. She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers: Mark and Ronald Gilbert, Kevin Thomas; grandparents: Thomas Ed Leslie and Rosie Ford Grimmitt, Albert Sr. and Lucille Gilbert.

She was a loving and devoted wife to Clyde Robinson Jr. God blessed them with 2 beautiful daughters: Clomeisha and Tira (Lewis) Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories along with her husband and daughters; five grandchildren and counting: Aiden, Teniya, Ameer, Teriq, Ashton, and one on the way; three brothers: Roderick, Reginald, and Albert Gilbert III; two loving aunts: Diana Williams and Vallie Mae Leslie; three sister in laws: Lennel Roberts, Verna Gilbert, and Brenda Robinson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church, Pastor Wayne L. Johnson, officiant. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
