Joe Mitchell Ruebin Young, Sr., (Butch, Soda Pop, Uncle Joe, Paw Paw), 73, was born on January 2, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Delia McPherson Young and Arnold Jackson Young. Surrounded by loved ones, he went home to be with his heavenly Father on Friday, December 18, 2020.
Joe was a graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1966. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where he loved video recording the worship services. He was a member of Fort Wood Good Neighbors where he served as the Treasurer. Before I was married into this family, I met Mr Joe Young as a young girl being friends with my daddy Monte Green Sr. aka ClockWatcher his CB name. He has always been nothing but kind to me and my family always, then when he became my uncle, the unconditional love, joy and laughter was extended to a greater extent. I will truly miss you Uncle Joe. Family functions will not be the same but I know that you will always be with our family in memories and spirit. I pray for comfort for my Young family as I know how close WE are.
Momma Sheila, Keisha, Sonya, Joe,...The whole family, From my mother Harriet, and I we love you and pray for peace understanding and comfort. God Bless Us All❤️
