Iris Faye Careathers, 75, was born to Fred and Irene Dave on November 22, 1947. She became an ancestor on December 20, 2022. She gave and dedicated her life to Jesus Christ at a very young age. Faye was a graduate of Riverside High School in 1965 where she was a member of Les Charmettes Social Club. She also attended Chattanooga City College. She was a devoted in-home childcare professional prior to her retirement as a Classroom Supervisor at Orange Grove Center. Iris was a loving and kind person to all who knew her and enjoyed life to the fullest. She especially enjoyed being a helping hand to others.

Preceded in death by parents Fred and Irene Dave; Brother Fred Dave Jr.; three aunts and one uncle.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters Sonjia Williams (Chris) and Quisha Bellmon-Mathis of Atlanta, Georgia; one son Timothy Careathers (Jill) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Grandchildren Damon Bellmon (Fiancé Ariana Cruz) and Cymone Bellmon of Atlanta, Georgia; Brother Sammy Dave (Jenny) of Charlotte, North Carolina; God-daughter Dana Stanley and God-granddaughters Amber Christopher, Jordyn Stanley of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ciji Arnold Wells of Memphis, Tennessee, Along with other grandchildren Chris Williams II., Candice Williams, Raynard (Shainna) Williams, Stacy (Mister) Overstreet, Adrian Patton of Atlanta, Georgia, and great grandchildren; Aunts Elizabeth Bonds, Mizora Woods, Minnie Witcher, Elnora Kirby of Chattanooga, Tennessee; And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Special Loved ones: Valerie Thomas, Gary and Linda Tooks, Dorothy Burgess, Joyce Perryman, Margaret Ruffin, Demetrius (Erical) Beasley, Trina Parker, Wayne Sanderfur, Toya Sanderfur.

Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm-6:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the funeral home. A 12:00 pm funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Greater Second MB Church, 810 Shallowford Road. Interment: Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery
