Obituary for Hezekiah Watkins, Jr.

Hezekiah Watkins, Jr., also known as “Junior”, was born on December 29, 1955, in Eutaw, AL. He transitioned this life on Thursday, March 24, 2022, in Chattanooga. “Junior” was one of seven children born to Lucinda (Lucindie) Means and Hezekiah Watkins, Sr. He later moved to Chattanooga, TN where he met and married Johnnie Mae (Hope). They started a family and had three daughters. “Junior” enjoyed a long career at Rossville Chromatex and later at Food Lion. “Junior” really enjoyed his westerns and watching the shenanigans of the Three Stooges. He would talk about some of the things he did with his siblings; like a drag race, he once had with his brother, Cleveland. He will be missed, but lovingly remembered. His smile always lit up his entire face and eyes. He will live on and be remembered for little things that his family does
that he also did.

He leaves behind his wife, Johnnie Mae; his daughters, Lucinda, Shalisa, and Melinda; grandson, Johnathan; sisters, Mary Helen Walker and Gladys Pritchett; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
