Obituary for Hazel Maxine Smith

Hazel Maxine Smith, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Chattanooga. A native of Rome, GA, she was educated in the Chattanooga public school system.

Hazel, known as “Little Hazel”, served as union steward for the United SteelWorkers at Seaboard Farms. She was employed for 40 years at Central Soya and Seaboard Farms.

Hazel was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her parents, Maynor and Gycie Harbour; grandmother, Willie Mae Walker; sister, Betty Jean Harbour; brother, Lawrence Savage, Sr., uncle, William Walker; aunt, Wilma Walker Foster.

She is survived by her daughter, Berlinda Coleman; son, LeBron Page, Sr.; granddaughter, Dionne White, Nashville, TN; grandsons, Marcus Flanagan, LeBron Page, Jr, both of Nashville, TN; Trendon Coleman, Chattanooga; great granddaughters, Nicolette and Danielle White, and Adriean Flanagan, all of Nashville, TN; great grandsons, Bryan and Eric Demonbreum, of Nashville, TN; nephews, Billy and William Cotton, Chattanooga; Robert (Beverly) Walker, Atlanta, GA; 2 great-great grandchildren; special friends and family, Francis Davis, Cora Cosey, and Tonya Wade.

A public viewing will be held 9:00AM-12:30PM Friday at the funeral home. A private family service will be held. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
