Geraldine Dupree, 97, of Chattanooga Tennessee, passed away on October 6, 2022, in her home. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Oscar McCaleb on August 24, 1925 in Chattanooga. Geraldine was a strong, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Although she fought through life's trials and tribulations, she always kept a smile on her face and never gave up. She belonged to St. John Baptist Church where she served faithfully.

Geraldine was preceded in death by both parents, husband, John Dupree, sister, Vernell McCaleb; two brothers; sons, Alvin Dupree, Johnny Dupree, Jr., and LeBron Dupree; granddaughter, Shayonna Walker.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her precious memories, her sons, Melvin (Joyce) Dupree and Elvis (Darlene) Dupree; grandkids, Dona Sexton, Vincent Dupree, Tracey Dupree, and Alvin Jr. "Big Man".

Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2022, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm Monday, October 17, 2022, in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
