Gerald Leon Jones Sr. was born on September 21, 1947, in Chattanooga, TN, and passed on September 22, 2022.
Gerald was baptized at an early age at Carter Street Baptist Church and graduated from Howard High School. He was
employed by Rutledge Lumber Company and Health Center at Standifer Place.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Jones and Thelma Bonner Little Jones; brother, Thomas Little, sister-in-law, Betty Little; father-in-law, Hermon Mason; mother-in-law, Mary Mason; and brother-in-law, Perry Mason.
He leaves his devoted wife of 45 years Barbara Jones; daughters, Genise Leondra Jones (Thadius) Goins, Felicia Jones; sons,Gerald Leon Jones Jr., Gary Lamar Jones; granddaughters, Taylor, Aubre’, Jaden, and Tyshauna; grandsons, Rashad, Lorenzo, Chandler, Gage, and Isaiah; great-grandson, Khylin. He also leaves sister, Jacqueline Jones (Harold) Miller; brother, Ellis Leroy (Kay) Little; sister-in-law, Audrey Mason; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per Gerald’s wishes, he will be cremated.
Public viewing will be held 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Sunday, October 2, 2022, followed by a 2:00 pm funeral service at the funeral home.
