Obituary for Georgia Marie Calloway
Georgia Marie Calloway, 65, of Chattanooga, TN went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 6, 2022.
She was born to Ruth Stone and Shirley Calloway on August 18, 1957. Georgia was a graduate of Tyner High School, class of 1975. She retired from CHI Memorial Hospital after more than 28 years of service. In her youth, she attended Mount Joy Baptist Church. Later she became a member of the Church of God Of Prophecy.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Stone and Shirley Calloway; siblings Louis Callaway, Vearnoral Stone, Pearly Mae Readus, Marilyn Stone, and Ira Stone. Granddaughter Kylah Calloway.
She leaves to cherish loving memories to her children, La'Rhonda Underwood and LaTrell Calloway; grandchildren, Treviun Underwood, Sr, Telijah Snow, Ka'Niya Calloway, Ke'Marion Calloway, LeCarrus Calloway, and Luke Calloway; great- grandson, Treveon Underwood. Jr; sisters, Linda Trotter of Nashville, TN, Cladis (Jesse) Harmon, Harriet (Gerald) Stone-Johnson, and Anita Chapman; brothers, Joseph Readus and Charles (Darlene) Calloway, Sr, all of Chattanooga, TN; companion, Randolph Lowery; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2022, followed by a 12:00 pm funeral service in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens.
