Gary Harden, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on April 13, 2022, in Chattanooga. He attended and graduated from Howard High School. After graduation, Gary went into the United States Navy where he served two years.

Afterward, he went on to work with food and nutrition services as a cook for Chattanooga City Schools. He was a member of Stephen Temple Presbyterian Church, where Ernest Jefferson is the pastor.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Ezella Ann Harden and Chester Harden; grandparents, Wallace and Ida Malone.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Demetrus (Charmaine) Grayson, Marcus (TaMeka) Grayson, and Chris Palmer, all of Chattanooga; three brothers, Ricky (Loucannon) Harden of Chattanooga, Brian (Jackie) Harden, of Etna, Ohio, and Kenneth Harden, of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Tavarus Grayson and Tymia Palmer, both of Chattanooga, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 20th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 21, 2022. Internment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
