I was privileged to know Frank through golf. He was truly a legend on the Chattanooga golf scene. When Frank stood on the tee, everyone stopped to watch. Nobody could hit a golf ball like Frank. He was a kind person, as well, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

My deepest sympathy goes to Mrs. Swopes and Franks' children. I worked with Frank at J. C. Penney's from 1960 to 1963 at Brainerd Village. Didn't realize he was a golfer, but believe my ex-husband played a lot of golf with him. We have nothing but good things to say about Frank. May God Bless the family and keep his loving arms around them.
