Obituary for Floyd Clinton Harden

Mr. Floyd Clinton Harden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10. 2022.

Floyd was employed by U.S Pipe for over 40 years and only retired with the closing of the business.

He was a very faithful member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for many years, serving as a deacon, usher, bus driver, Circle 4 Ministry, and male chorus member until his health declined.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Luverta Harden; brothers Jerry and Johnnie Harden; son, Leon Harden.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 70 years, Carrie Harden; devoted daughters, Elaine Townes and Delphine Stafford; granddaughters, Chanda Harden and Tavi Usher; great-grandson, Darius Harden; great- granddaughters; Markia (Dexter) Jones and Danielle Usher; great- great granddaughters, Janiya Harden, Aubree Joy Jones, and Kennidi King; loving and devoted nephew, Larry (Lisa) Wade; brothers-in-law; S.B. Wade and Jesse (Lou) Wade; sisters-in-law; Hennie Wade, Lola Mae Morgan, Laura (Kenneth) Wade, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special devoted and loving family: Spirit and Joy Williams Harden.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm, on Tuesday, May 17th at the funeral home. A 1:00 pm funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, at Greater Friendship Missionary Church, located 914 Park Ave, Chattanooga, TN.
