To Corey Barnette and family,
We are so sad to hear of the loss of your dear grandmother. After many years of loving and serving her family, community, and God, her beautiful soul is now in heaven, away from us, but closer to God who has already told her “Job well done”. Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May God give you the peace that you seek while helping you keep alive and cherish all of the fond memories you have of Ms. Evie. Her spirit lives on in you.
~ Warmly, Rodney & Kimberly Brandon, Washington, DC

I'm so sorry I can't come and see Mother Evie's sweet and beautiful face one more time but the memory of her will live on in my heart. When she came to St. Elmo along with Ms. Minnie we had a connection. She would often tell my husband how much she learned from him in Sunday School and he always appreciated that because he was young enough to be her son. I also had to share my granddaughter with her , which I didn't mind. See you later, Mother Evie.
