Obituary for Eva Nell Russell
Eva Nell Edwards was born on August 26, 1944 in Marion, Alabama to Oliver and Minnie K. Edwards.
Eva was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Eva was a graduate of Lincoln School in Marion, Alabama. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and later became a member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church. Eva wed Tyler Russell, Jr. and from their union they had four children. She was known to be a very hardworking, patient and kind-hearted person who loved giving a helping hand to others. Eva made her transition on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at the age of 76.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Tyler Russell, Jr.; son, Tyler Russell, III; parents, Oliver Edwards, Sr., and Minnie (Kynard) Edwards; brothers, Thurman D. Edwards, Oliver Edwards, Jr., LeVert Edwards, and Holloway Edwards.
Eva leaves to cherish her memories, Janet E. Russell, Knecole A. (Alan Blake), Knikita D. Russell; step- daughters, Stephanie Russell- Splawn (Calvin Splawn), Linda Russell- Lawrence, stepson, Christopher (Dedra) Russell, Picayune, MS; siblings, Larry Edwards, Abraham (Annie), Edwards, Ora Dee (Rev. Woodie) Melton, Robert (Marion) Edwards, Gary (Cynthia) Edwards, Marvin (WC) Edwards, Inez Edwards- Savage (Paul G. Savage), Lyndon (Monique) Edwards, Geraldine Edwards- Skipper (Sylvester Skipper), Leon Edwards, Delois Edwards, Duane A. Edwards, Elroy (Lizette) Edwards, Corey (Meredith) Edwards, Omega L.
