Obituary for Emma C Wallace

Emma Wallace was born May 28, 1927, in New Market, Alabama, to the late Bob Whitman and Sue Ella Drake Whitman. She departed this life on March 28, 2022, in Chattanooga. She was united in marriage to Steve Wallace, and to this union, three children were born. Emma professed a hope in Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of Saint James Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, the senior choir, and as a member of the deaconess board until her health failed.

She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them and friends. Emma loved the Lord, enjoyed attending church, and reading her bible. She will always be remembered for her avid faith in God and for sharing her faith with others.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Wallace; son, Clarence Wallace; daughter, Kathleen
Wallace Schropshire; stepmother, Rosie Nell Whitman; eight brothers, Thomas Whitman, Aaron Whitman, Sam Whitman, Willie Pat Whitman, Isaac Whitman, Otha Whitman, Leslie Whitman, and Robert Lee Whitman; three sisters, Ada Garner,
Fannie Whitman, and Inez Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Freddie Lee Wallace, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters, Jessie Baugh, of Nashville Tennessee, Rosa Battle (Charles), of New Market Alabama, and Peggy Petty (Shelby), of Huntsville Alabama; one brother, Bob Mack Whitman (Christal) of Huntsville Alabama; daughter-in-law, Doris Wallace; son-in-law, Gill Schropshire; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 11:30 AM in the chapel of the funeral home.

Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
