Obituary

“Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant!” (Matthew 25:21).  Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Emma Jean Walls Price was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 21, 2021.  Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 20, 1944 to Jimmie and Geneva Walls, Emma lived a life of faith, love and graciousness.  She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Louise (Charles) Southall.

Emma graduated with honors in 1962 from Howard High School and was awarded an academic scholarship to Tuskegee University where she earned her honors Bachelor of Science in Biology and was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. We will all miss her greatly but her soft voice, beautiful smiles, and the many many memories we all have of her will sustain us. I pray that the many more happy times you spent with her will do the same for you during the coming hours, days, weeks, months, and years. We're here if and when you needs us. Mrs. Price thank you for believing in me and pushing me to attend college when I didn’t feel good enough or smart enough. You truly loved your students. I can remember all the times you would pull me out of class to make sure I turned in a missing college application or essay. To the Price family thank you for sharing Mrs. Price with us. God Bless you all.
