Obituary for Ella Baker
Ella Mae Baker, 89 of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at Alexian Village. Mrs. Baker
was born in Huntsville AL and was married to Andrew Baker Sr. for more than 50 years. Mrs. Baker was a
member of Westside Baptist Church and served many years as a substitute teacher for the Hamilton
County School system.
Survivors include Larry Baker, Gary Baker, Sharon Beasley, Shirley Reel, and Andrew Baker Jr.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the funeral home. A private service will be held with Pastor Timothy Careathers, Eulogist. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Due to COVID 19, the funeral service will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of John P. Franklin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am EST.
