Obituary for Edith Hall

Edith Paige Hall, 90, passed away December 13, 2022, in Chattanooga, TN. She was born in Roanoke, AL, November 21, 1932, to Robert Lee Paige and Carrie Octavia Kelly Paige. She attended Randolph County Training High School in Roanoke. She had been formerly employed by Cutter Laboratories and Skyland International clothing manufacturer. Edith was a faithful member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess, and sang in the choir. She also worked with the Social and Miscellaneous Committee.

Edith loved cooking, shopping, and working in her church's kitchen. She loved great candy and doing puzzles. Edith loved listening to gospel music, taking care of her family and taking care of sick people. She was indeed a servant. She loved being called Nanny. Edith was recently honored by her church for her committed and dedicated service to the ministry.

Edith was preceded in death by both of her parents; spouse, Eddie Lee Hall

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one daughter and son-in-law, Shelia Hall (Allan) Tate of Chattanooga; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Shannon Tate (Calvin Dennis) of Olive Branch, MS; two grandsons, Allan Tate, II, High Point, NC; Willitrian Stewart of Chattanooga; godson, Jermicah Jennings of Chattanooga; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Kaison Dennis of Olive Branch, MS.

Public viewing will be held 10:30 AM - 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Westside Baptist Church, 4001 Hughes Avenue, followed by a 12:00 noon funeral service.

Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery. Gate time 2:00 PM.
