Obituary for Eddie Arnold, Sr.
Eddie Arnold, Sr., 65, was born August 12, 1954 to the late Roberta H. and Russell Arnold Sr. in Chattanooga, TN. He passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020.
Eddie graduated in 1972 from Howard High School. He ran track for Riverside High School. He was known for his cooking. As a long time employee from Shoney's and Ryan's, he was recognized as employee of the month several years in a row because of his strong work ethic. Recently, he continued that tradition at Hardees and My Discount Liquour. Eddie Arnold never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone for hours. His happy disposition always put a smile on everyone's face.
Preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Arnold; his parents, Roberta Haywood and Russell Arnold Sr.; brothers, Robert L. Haywood, John and Russell Arnold Jr.; sister, Goldie Arnold.
Loving memories will be cherished by his survivors; son, Eddie Arnold Jr.; brothers, Charles Haywood and Jerry Arnold; sister-in-law, Ada Arnold; nieces, Shirley (Jeffrey) Sexton, Markeyda (Thomas) Hubbard; nephews, Mike (Karen) Haywood, Terry (Hiwatha) Haywood, Charles (Treva) Haywood Jr. and Phillip King. He has a host of family and friends who love him dearly.
A public viewing will be held from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday, July 31, 2020 followed by a graveside service. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
