Obituary for Dianna Mathis

Dianna Finley Mathis, 73, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020. She was born on June 2, 1947 to Mack N. Finley and Annie Mae Walker in Chattanooga, TN.
She was a graduate of Riverside High School in the class of 1965. She attended the Cortez Peters Business College in Washington, DC and Chattanooga State. She was a Christian.
She was employed by Erlanger Hospital, EPB and retired from Tennessee Valley Authority. Dianna was a very giving person and she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Sereta S. Mathis; granddaughter, Mackenzie C. Mathis; parents, Mack N. Finley and Annie (James) Bennett; grandparents, Henry (ISadora) Walker; brothers, Eric L. Finley Sr. and Henry M. Finley.
She is survived by her loving husband, Floyd L. Mathis, Sr.; sons, Floyd (Tara) Mathis, Jr.; Timothy (Jill) Careathers; daughters, Sonjia (Chris) Williams, Quisha (Patrick) Buggs; grandchildren, Maya and Madison Mathis, Damon and Cymone Bellmon,; sisters, Helen Townsend, Deborah (Charlie) Davidson; brother, Calvin (Zelma) Finley,; brother-in-laws, Larry (Margaret) Dandy, Michael Dandy, Leroy (Vena) Dandy, Leslie (Shirley) Lewis, , Daniel Thornhill, Billy Hasani (Bonnie) Subira; sister-in-laws, Patricia Green, Mildred (Gatha) Logan and Barbara Mathis; First Cousins; Ronald(Rosalind) Harris, Shanton”Toby”Smith, and Tawanna Smith; special family friends, Tommy (Wilma) and Stacy Wills, Ms. Bette J. McCann; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Public viewing will be from 2 – 6 pm Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held privately. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery
