Obituary for Delores Jane Williams

Delores J. Nicholson Williams went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2023, at the age of 84.

Delores, affectionately known as “Granny, Nana, and Mama Dee,” accepted the Lord in Red Bank, Alabama as a child, had a distinguished career of sixty-three years as a Registered Nurse and had recently resigned from HCDE. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and served on the Olivet Mother Board. Over the years, she contributed to the lives of many as a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, and caregiver. In her free time, Delores enjoyed gardening, watching her stories, and playing candy crush on her tablets.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie Gilchrist; mother and father, Janie Walker and Robert Allen; loving husband, Marvin Nicholson; and truly loved grandson, Tory Hardy.

She leaves behind four children, Terilynn Torrence (Larry, loving son-in-law), Telaine Nicholson, Traci Eastman, Jay Nicholson; four sisters and two brothers, Sherrie Gilchrist, Terisita Eversley (Kevin), Deborah Gilchrist, Duchess Walker, Orest Walker, Mike Walker; grandchildren, Staci McDowell, Terrell Torrence, Bria Gardner (David), Darion Nicholson,
