Obituary for Deborah Bolton

Deborah Slaughter Bolton, 58, passed away on March 11, 2021, in Chattanooga. Born on February 7, 1963, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Deborah was affectionately known as “Debra” or “Pie” by family and close friends.
Deborah attended Chattanooga High School where she graduated in 1981. Deborah participated in sports as a cheerleader, played basketball, and ran track during her school years. Following high school, she received a Nursing Assistant certification in 1985.

Deborah was always full of life and laughter and there was never a dull moment when she was around. She was loved by many! Deborah was a member of the New Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Bolton, and Virginia Slaughter; brother, Terry Slaughter; sons, Trammel Slaughter and Wendell Graves.

Survivors include her long-time partner, Lewis “Pete” Carson; a daughter, Alyshia Craig; a grandchild, Tra’Mia; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins

Public viewing will be held from 11 AM-2:00 PM, Sunday, March 21, 2021, at the funeral home, followed by a 2:30 PM graveside service. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
