Obituary for David Muse Strickland, Sr.

Mr. David Muse Strickland, Sr. was born November 7, 1969, in Chattanooga, TN to the late Joe and Dorothy Strickland. He went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 3, 2023. David attended Chattanooga Public Schools, and graduated from Brainerd High School, class of 1988. He went on to play football at Savannah State College before becoming a member of the United States Army, serving 4 years as a supply specialist.

Affectionately known by family as “Deek”, and by friends as “Strick”, he had a broad range of hobbies including cooking, traveling, fishing, collecting antique cars and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He served his community through his profession as a licensed bail bondsman for nearly 30 years. In addition to being a business owner, landscapist and avid music lover, David was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church where he served as part of the music ministry.

David was a loving person who never met a stranger. In his line of work, he would pour into people’s lives and share his faith with them in hopes of helping them see that there is a better way to handle life’s pressures. David loved the Lord! As a family, we are at peace knowing for a fact that he is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father. He is free! He is whole! He is healed!!!
