David Dyer was born on September 15, 1948, to Mamie and Dallas Dyer in Chattanooga, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents. David confessed and accepted Jesus Christ into his life at an early age at the Stanley United Methodist Church. David received his education in the Chattanooga Public School system, where he graduated from Riverside High School in 1966. He started his custodial service with Hamilton County schools. This later transitioned to be known as ADM.
David loved the children at whichever school he was placed, and the children loved him the same. There were often many stories told about how those knucklehead children made his day. After 35 years, David retired in 2021. In addition to the school system, David also worked part- time at Hank Hill’s office providing custodial service. David met Yuvette in 1992, and they have been inseparable ever since. He raised Torey and Adrian as his own.
David leaves to cherish his love and memories, his significant other, Yuvette Sanders of Chattanooga, TN; mother-in-law, Mary A. Jordan of Chattanooga; two sons, Torey (Maranda) Sanders and Adrian (Stephanie) Jackson, both of Chattanooga; six grandchildren, Kiona, Keiran, Cheyanne, Ja'Carion, Madison, and Adrian, Jr.; one great grandchild, Kasey; brother, Kenneth Lebron Dyer; cousins, Linda Diane (Di) Brown, Benita Lawson, Deanna Lawson, Jacob Lawson, and Yolanda Lawson, all of Detroit, MI.
