Obituary for David DeWayne Albert

On August 25, 2022, God called home one of HIS children unto Himself, David DeWayne Albert.

David DeWayne Albert was born on October 12, 1969, to Calvin and Thelma Albert in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Angela Albert.

David was a 1987 graduate of Brainerd High School, where he was a member of the Panthers baseball team. After graduation, he attended Knoxville College on a baseball scholarship and was a pitcher for the team. He majored in physical education while at Knoxville College. He was also a member of the Chattanooga semi-pro football team.

David was an avid Tennessee Vol fan.

He was previously employed as a warehouse/truck driver with Danka Business Systems and was most recently employed as a bus driver with the Chattanooga Bus Company.

David had excellent culinary art skills which he gained as a commercial foods student at Brainerd High School. He used those skills taught to him by his uncle, Grover Montgomery, to serve as a chef trainer with Darden Restaurants.

His survivors include three sons, Cameron (Frances) Albert, Donte' Albert, Ahmad (ShaNyah) Albert; two granddaughters, Ah'Myah and Avery (who is expected); his loving sister, Andrea (Kevin) Staton; aunts, several cousins, and a host of friends.

Public viewing will be held from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, on Thursday, September 1, 2022, followed by a 12:00 pm funeral service in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.

Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
